JCDL 2008 has concluded successfully and we hope
that you enjoyed your visit to Pittsburgh. It was a whirlwind
week, filled with sessions, tutorials, workshops and social events.
Thanks to our keynote presenters – Bill Buxton, Fernanda
Viegas, Martin Wattenberg, and Alex Szalay for starting each conference
day with an intriguing discussion of the digital libraries field – and
where it might be heading in the near future. The poster/demo
reception was a huge success and it was fascinating to see what
research projects and directions are underway in this incredibly
diverse field. It was a fun evening (albeit a bit brisk)
for sailing the Three Rivers which made Pittsburgh famous. We
hope that you’ll come back again to see even more of our
beautiful city.
Thanks to our sponsors, presenters, and members of the Program
Committee for their critical support of JCDL 2008.
